[00:00:02] [SPEAKER_00] Hey Waffle Gang, I do hope you are well. My name is Mark and today we're checking out some more Reddit stories of course. And if you do love a Reddit story why not consider hitting that like, subscribe, maybe that notification bell too. And let's crack on with today's first story. One day I'm gonna catch you out with that intro.
[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_00] Today's first story is coming from CallMeDestinova42 from the entitled People subreddit. And yes it has updates too. It's titled, I finally told my father's infantilizing friend that I hate him. Years ago my dad met Harold through mutual friends and they hit it off. I was 18 and in college when I met him and we never had a close relationship. However, he always seemed to think of himself as a family friend and was always extremely infantilizing and condescending towards me.
[00:00:52] [SPEAKER_00] Every time I saw him I tried to tell myself it wasn't that bad, only for him to prove me wrong less than a minute later. Harold would disrespect my boundaries, say things like, you're not 19, you're a baby, while I was talking to other people and patronized me, my education or my hobbies whenever he had the chance. He always noticed that annoyed me, to which he'd playfully ask if I hated him. I always said no, but only for my father's sake.
[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_00] The final straw came the day Harold interrupted a barbecue to say, I really like you, even though you're an impolite brat. I was 20 years old. I'd been quiet all day working on a paper during the barbecue, but replied patiently and politely whenever anyone addressed me. And even if that hadn't been the case, I knew he didn't have the right to talk to me like that. After that, I started making an effort to avoid any events I knew he'd be attending.
[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_00] Yesterday was my father's girlfriend's birthday. They threw a small lunch party at my dad's apartment. I went there with my fiance and our six month old son. Harold was there. I hadn't seen him in months, but he still talked to me as if I was a dumb child. Never mind that I'm engaged, a mother and 26 years old. I spent the whole party ignoring his helpful advice about me being too young to get married or be a mum. It helped that most of the other guests seemed to disagree with him.
[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_00] My baby spent most of the afternoon sleeping. There's a bassinet in my old room. He woke up hungry, so I went to breastfeed him and excuse myself from the party for a while. I got back to jokes and comments, all from Harold, about how I was probably struggling if my son was managing to leech me away for so long. He went on to interrupt the conversation I was having with another of my dad's friends to question pretty much everything about my parenting. He doesn't even have custody of his daughter by the way, and to make more comments about my age.
[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_00] I decided I couldn't take it anymore after he asked if I thought about giving up my baby for adoption. I got my son and told my fiancé we were leaving. We said goodbye to everyone except Harold. When we got to the door, Harold came to ask me why we were leaving. I tried to make up an excuse, but he kept trying to make us stay. After a small back and forth, he jokingly asked if I hated him, and this time I said, yes, I do. Can we go now?
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_00] He didn't say anything, and we left. On the way home, my fiancé said he was proud of me. My father called this morning to say the opposite, and we had a small fight. I ultimately decided to drop the subject. I'm sure this isn't over, but if it keeps going, it won't be because of me. This is far from my proudest moment, and a small part of me regrets it, but I'm done with that guy. Edit, Jesus Christ Superstar. That's a lot of comments. To answer some common questions.
[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_00] I don't think Harold is in love with me. Harold didn't tell me to give up my son. He asked if I thought of doing so when I got pregnant. It was still an awful question, especially since he interrupted a conversation I was having with someone else. My dad's girlfriend's pregnant friend, who was asking about my own pregnancy and delivery to ask it. I don't like making a big deal out of things unless necessary. If I'm uncomfortable, I leave. If I don't like someone, I avoid them. It's usually less stressful.
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_00] The fight between me and my father ended when I told him about the adoption comment. I don't think he gets that's not the only reason I left, but it was definitely what broke the camel's back. I really don't need my father to stop being friends with Harold. He's a grown man capable of making his own crappy decisions. I never told my dad I hated Harold because I never thought I had to like him in the first place. He's my father's friend, not mine, and I've been distancing myself from Harold since I was 20, meaning I haven't seen him much in the last six years.
[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_00] My fiance was on the other side of the room and wasn't listening to Harold's comments. I filled him in when we got to the car. He's 100% on my side. I think there isn't much to say on this one apart from Harold is a bloody asshole and has been consistently disrespectful for years. I mean, infantilizing her, publicly undermining her, totally inappropriate comments questioning her parenting and adoption and all this kind of stuff. So absolutely not. You're not wrong for blowing up at all.
[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_00] And I'm shocked your dad didn't step in and kick his ass out sooner. But he's clearly watched this dynamic for years and still expects OP to just absorb it, which, you know, it's just shitty ass parenting. So basically, fuck Harold. But commenter says, does your dad know this friend suggested you putting up dad's grandchild up for adoption? If not, I'll bring it up with the two of them together at your earliest convenience. OP says it was one of the first things I told him on the phone. It was also part of what ended the fight.
[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_00] Commenter says, obviously, I have no idea what your dad is like or how your relationship with him is. It's entirely possible that I'm way off base. This is just an outside possibility that would bother me if I were in your situation. Could it be possible that Harold is actually treating you the way he does due to a perception that your father has given him when they're hanging out? I feel like it wouldn't surprise me if in private your father says negative things about you as Harold, maybe even saying things like, I think she should put the baby up for adoption.
[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_00] OP says, I don't doubt my father talks about me when he's around his friends, but I'm sure it's not like that. Many of the stories he tells people happened when I was a child, but that's always made clear right away too. And none of his friends behave like Harold, so I really don't think that's the case. OP on Harold's daughter and says she's around 10 years old and I think he sees her once or twice a week. She has a room at his place or she did last time I heard, but lives with her mother.
[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_00] So at some point later, OP comes in with their first update and says, hey guys, I wasn't going to write an update, but I just got some free time and I figured I'd fill you in. I'll start by addressing the very frequent assumption that Harold has feelings for me. I really don't think that's the case. His comments always come out as annoying and condescending, but never sexual. But I will say that your comments scared the shit out of me. And the fact that the general consensus was fuck Harold was weirdly heartwarming.
[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_00] I also want to add that while I did regret what I said a little bit, I never doubted I'd done the right thing. I think most of my regret came from the fact that my eight years of keeping the peace were over. It took some time for the relief to sink in. Truth be told, I've been wanting to do this since the barbecue incident, which was when I went from, I didn't like that guy to, I can't stand that guy. My father called Harold the day after I made my previous post.
[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_00] When confronted about the adoption comment, he tried to twist it as him being genuinely concerned about me being a mom so soon and that he didn't think I knew what I was doing. He did apologize to my father. I don't buy any of that. The next day, my dad told me about the court. He said I should forgive Harold for what he thought was an honest misunderstanding. He also told me I should apologize too since I had overreacted by telling Harold I hated him for such a small reason. Many of Harold's past comments were made with my father close by.
[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_00] It often happened in the middle of conversations with other people so he'd be too distracted to register them. He also wouldn't notice them most of the time. My dad doesn't pay enough attention to anything that doesn't either concern or anger him and he'll most likely forget it until he gets angry at something else later anyway. He's like a meth head goldfish. We also have different definitions of what's offensive so he'd never think they were a big deal. I told my father I wasn't exaggerating when I said I hated Harold
[00:08:12] [SPEAKER_00] and that the adoption comment was far from being the only reason. I listed most of the condescending treatment and comments I could remember, including the ones from the party. He didn't remember any of them. I made it very clear that I'd hated Harold for years prior to the party and that I had nothing to apologize for. I then stated that I'm no longer coming to any events Harold is invited to. My father doesn't need to stop being friends with him or even stop inviting him to stuff, but he can no longer expect me to show up as well. I will ask him beforehand and if he lies, I'll leave.
[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_00] My father called me dramatic, but I pointed out that I've been avoiding Harold for six years now and no one even noticed, so it clearly wasn't a problem. I've only seen him a handful of times since the barbecue incident and only twice more for a few minutes. A lunch party last week and another party back when I was pregnant. It obviously didn't ruin my father's life. I'm not obliged to like his friends any more than he is to like mine. There was some back and forth, but he agreed to my terms.
[00:09:09] [SPEAKER_00] We spoke yesterday about something else and he mentioned Harold was upset. I ignored that. I'm not going no contact with my father. Yes, I'm very well aware he's an arsehole and I came really close to cutting ties with him in the last few years, but I ultimately decided it wouldn't really fix anything. Maintaining my relationship with him has gotten a lot easier since I moved out, as we only see each other a couple of times a month. He gets frustrated that I don't call or text much, but doesn't complain about it anymore.
[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_00] I don't see the point in going no contact with someone who no longer has any say in how I live my life. I'd rather just take note of what my father did wrong when I was growing up and then make sure to raise my own kid differently. He's on thin ice though, and has been for some time. He's not allowed to babysit, mostly because I don't trust him to spend more than an hour alone with a baby without falling asleep on the couch. I began pushing for him to start doing therapy back when I got pregnant, and he finally got started back in June.
[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_00] His behavior around me and my younger sister, who still lives between our very divorced parents, has improved a lot since. And I've made it clear to him that he won't be allowed near my son if he stops attending. This is the first time in my life my father has improved his behavior. It's hard to be hopeful, but I'm trying, and if I ever do go no contact with my father, it won't be because of fucking Harold. So that's it. Overall, I'm glad I don't have to deceive anyone anymore. My relationship with my father is rocky, but I won't dwell on it.
[00:10:33] [SPEAKER_00] My main responsibilities are my son, my fiancee, and my job, and that's not changing anytime soon. And to those who mentioned Jesus Christ Superstar and Blue Oyster Cult in my last post, has anyone told you you're fucking awesome today? Because you are. So it was over a year later that OP came in with their final update and said, Hey guys, wow, I can't believe it's been over a year since I last posted about this. I planned on updating some time ago.
[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_00] These past few months, I've been caught up in raising a toddler, getting married, yay, working like crazy, and rewatching Supernatural. Needless to say, I've been busy. Openly avoiding Harold has been working pretty well. My father has been respecting my boundaries. Whenever he invites me and my husband over for lunch or dinner, I ask who else will be there. If Harold's coming, he tells me. He hasn't lied so far, and doesn't usually insist when I tell him I'm not coming.
[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_00] Since my last post, I've only seen Harold once, at my dad's birthday party a few months ago. Yes, I knew he'd be there. My father promised he'd tell him not to talk to me. Also, some of my father's friends' kids, most of whom I used to babysit, would be there. I hadn't seen them in a while, and I love them more than I hate Harold. I ended up spending most of the party with my son and the kids. Harold didn't talk to me at all, so I guess my father was true to his word. My husband and I did catch him staring at us a couple of times, but I decided to ignore it.
[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_00] I caught my husband staring back once, and the walking marshmallow I married actually managed to look threatening. I love this man. You know who did talk to me? Harold's girlfriend. Yes, he has one now. She interacted with me twice. First, she came over to coo over my son before making a comment about how he needed a haircut. Ha! I already hate you. Later, she approached me and said, You're shy, aren't you? I said no, and she laughed and said, Yeah, you're shy.
[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_00] She said all that in the same tone one would use to talk to a six-year-old. I managed to keep my expression schooled. Otherwise, I would have told her I'm not shy. I just chose to spend the whole party with the kids because they were way better company than her and her annoying ass boyfriend. So yeah, based on both my interactions with her, Harold's girlfriend is insufferable. In other words, they're perfect for each other. I don't have much else to add. My father broke up with a woman he was dating last year. Long fucking story.
[00:12:52] [SPEAKER_00] And has a new girlfriend. She's not annoying or psychotic and I actually really like her. They won't last a year. My relationship with my father is still not perfect by the way, but it has improved. He's actually started apologizing to me a lot more often. I don't know whether it's the therapy or the fact that motherhood has apparently made me terrifying, but I'll take it. And I'll give credit where it's due. He's a very good grandfather. I'm also glad my father is respecting this Harold boundary. I very much don't want this man in my life.
[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_00] Honestly, I'm pretty satisfied right now. My little boy is thriving. Part of me really misses the baby times, but I grow prouder and prouder every day. Getting to know my kid has been fantastic. His elder username says to this story, One of my dad's friends once told me that my nose piercing made me very unattractive. I told him that he wasn't exactly my demographic. Dad overheard it and roared with laughter. I never saw the man again, which I thought was telling.
[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_00] Bloody good on you. I absolutely love it when people like that get called out. But a lot of people still were suspecting that Harold had some kind of feelings for OP, negging her this whole time. But what do you guys make of this situation? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below. And let's move on to another story. Now we're sticking with the entitled people subreddit. This one's from Sugar Drenched, who says,
[00:14:47] [SPEAKER_00] She came over very friendly and said, Oh my God, I just found you do wedding videos. You have to do mine. It'd be so nice to have someone I already know behind the camera. I smiled and told her, sure. I'd love to send her my rate sheet. My prices are normal for the area. $1800 for a full day, shoot, editing, and a highlight reel. She smiled, said she'd check it out, and that was it. A week later, she texted me saying, Wait, I thought since we're basically family through your husband's job,
[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_00] you'd give me a friend discount or maybe do it as a gift. I told her nicely that I don't mix personal or work connections with free jobs. I've seen how messy that gets, especially with people connected to my husband's office. She read it and didn't reply. Days passed, and my husband came home from work looking uncomfortable. He said, Hey, just a heads up that Rachel's been telling people that you're doing a wedding video. I was stunned because he knew I hadn't agreed to anything. I texted her asking why she'd say that, and she replied,
[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_00] Oh, I just assumed you'd change your mind. I've been so stressed I figured you'd understand. I told her clearly that I wasn't available that weekend and had already booked another client. She just said, Okay, but I really hope you reconsider. The wedding day on the last Saturday of September 28th at 7.10am, my phone started ringing nonstop. It was Rachel. When I finally picked up, she was crying and yelling that her videographer had cancelled at the last minute, and she needed me to come through for her.
[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_00] I told her I had another client and couldn't just abandon them. She completely lost it, accusing me of being heartless and ungrateful after she'd always been so nice to me and my husband. I told her this was exactly why I didn't mix work and personal connections, and I hung up. I blocked the number right after. My husband did end up going to the wedding for a few hours since it was a co-worker event, and he didn't want to make things more awkward at work. He said it was tense, and Rachel barely acknowledged him.
[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_00] This past week, HR called my husband into a meeting. Turns out Rachel emailed them claiming I had agreed to film her wedding and then backed out last minute, causing her to lose precious memories. She even implied that I was somehow representing his firm because we are married. My husband had to explain the whole story to HR, and thankfully they believed him. But it was still embarrassing for both of us. It's still shocking that Rachel didn't stop at that. She made a Facebook post that night complaining about unprofessional videographers and tagged my business page.
[00:17:13] [SPEAKER_00] I had to contact Facebook to get it removed. Apparently, people in my husband's office are acting weird around him, like I'm the stuck-up wife who refused to help. I've worked hard to build my name and reputation. I'm furious that someone's entitlement could threaten that, all because she didn't want to pay for a service. Some people really think knowing someone equals owing them. OP was really stuck in this situation because Rachel decided regardless she was getting a free videographer no matter what happens, and then sort of worked backward from there.
[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_00] And the moment that OP didn't immediately say yes, Rachel didn't adjust. She just sort of like tried to force her into it. There's no way OP could have any control over this. Telling people that it was already happening, calling in a panic on the wedding day itself, and then going to HR on Facebook when it didn't work. And she actually tried to damage OP's reputation and drag her husband's workplace into it as well. So I kind of wonder if any legal stuff, again, I don't really know about all the kind of legal stuff,
[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_00] but it does sound like defamation to me, so I wonder if she could go down that route. A commenter said to OP, If I was your husband, I would file a complaint with HR about Rachel's harassment. It is as simple as that. OP says he's done that already, and HR has warned her to stop any further actions regarding the matter or to be handed over to a legal counsel, court, which she'll definitely be penalized. A commenter says file a suit for defamation. Did you screenshot the review on Facebook?
[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_00] OP says yeah, but my husband said I should keep it safe for now in case the matter escalates since the matter is still under the HR custody. A commenter says did she really have her own videographer that cancelled last minute, or was that just another manipulation ploy to force you to do it for free? Keep all your proof of conversations between you and her, and if things don't settle down for you in your husband's workplace, then take appropriate actions to shut that entitled arsehole down. OP says she's just a confused soul trying to make sense of a world that never made sense to her.
[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_00] Proof are intact. So then OP comes in with her update and says, Hey everyone, I posted a while back about my husband's co-worker Rachel, who expected me to film her wedding for free, then dragged my name through his office and even HR when I refused. I wanted to give a quick update since a few people requested for it. So Rachel actually apologized. Apparently, after HR looked into everything and my husband explained the full story with messages to back it up, it made it clear that she had crossed some serious line.
[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_00] This morning she sent my husband an email owning up to it. She said she realized that she had been unprofessional, that she made assumptions, and that she should have never told anyone I was filming her wedding before I'd agreed. She'd also admitted that posting about my business on Facebook was out of line, and she had taken it down. She told my husband she had clarified things with a few co-workers who'd heard her side of the story too. Honestly, I didn't expect her to apologize at all, so that was surprising. I'm still not thrilled about the damage control we had to do,
[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_00] but I appreciate that she at least took responsibility instead of doubling down. Hopefully, this is the end of it. Thanks again to everyone who backed me up in the original post. You all made me feel so much less crazy about standing my ground. Someone says to OP, someone probably explained to her that she could be sued for defamation. OP says I think so. She just came back to her senses. Commodore says I would get your husband to ask a couple of colleagues if she actually did clarify the situation with them as she claimed she did.
[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_00] After all, she did lie wildly in the first place. How would anyone trust her when she says she's rectified things at work? Afraid if she did actually take responsibility. No harm in making sure. Trust, but verify. And a commenter says people have a great capacity of lying to themselves. It took HR's pressure for her to step back and get a clear look at herself. And I kind of feel like she's just trying to save face here. She doesn't want to be sued. She doesn't want any of that kind of stuff. So she's just saying sorry because she has to.
[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_00] This might be a bit out of line me saying this, but I feel like people like that with that kind of entitlement don't just change on a whim like that. They only change because they might be getting themselves in trouble. What do you guys think of this one? Absolutely wild ass entitlement. On your wedding day phoning up and saying I need you here. Oh man. Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below. Let's move on to another story. Our next story is also from the entitled people subreddit from Vizance.
[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_00] It doesn't have an update, but it sounds like a fun one. It's titled entitled client learns that professionals can in fact walk away. I work as an engineer. I do some consulting on the side, but typically only for people I know and as a favor. A good friend asked me to help his in-laws who were doing some fairly massive renovations and additions. I agreed solely because he asked me to. This is not something I have any interest or need in doing except as a favor.
[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_00] It's an old house and had can of worms written all over it with some of the changes they wanted to do. Now, he warned me that mother-in-law can be unpleasant. That was an understatement. She seemed to think that because I was being paid, I charged probably one tenth of what a business would, that she could snap her fingers at me like a servant. I had a few unpleasant emails with her, but it was tolerable. She was rude when I was pointing out issues with their plans, but nothing too extreme.
[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_00] That changed when I started trying to find a time for me to stop by and inspect a few areas of the house to verify some information. I offered times to stop by on the weekend, but that didn't work for her. Tried evening times? Still, a no. Nope, she wanted me to stop by during my office work hours because that was best for her. When I told her no, this gets done on the weekends or in the evening, she went from rude to incredibly hostile, telling me that she is paying me. Lol. And that I work with her availability, not the other way around.
[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_00] I CC'd my friend in on the chain, told them I was out and have fun working with whoever they get. Friend apologized. I said, no worries, not my problem anymore. She emailed back quite stunned that I was walking away, telling me that it's not how business is conducted. I didn't bother responding. About three weeks later, I get an email from the husband now asking me if I would reconsider and he promises that his wife won't speak to me or be involved in any way. I hear from my friend that while the quotes came back much higher, which was tolerable for them,
[00:23:31] [SPEAKER_00] but it was how long the wait was. I just bought this house and wanted to move in ASAP, but it's an incredibly busy time of year for the industry. Turns out when companies you reach out to are drowning in work and you have a potentially convoluted and messy project, they aren't chomping at the bit to get your business. So, now they're going to lose the trades they lined up because the zine would be a month or two out. I passed on the request as I struggled to believe she would be kept in check and had no desire to bail her out. My friend didn't care.
[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_00] He said it was nice watching her attitude give her consequences that actually affect her. So this guy was doing them a massive favor at a massive discount and fitting it around his actual job and then treated him like this. You know, even if she was paying like the full market rate, the attitude still fucking stinks. And I was a bit nervous towards the end that OP was going to go back to them and give it another go. But I'm so glad that they didn't. But what do you guys make of this one?
[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_00] Let us know your thoughts and let's move on to another one from Spit Change who says, Entitled neighbor demands I stop using my own Wi-Fi because it's distracting her plants. Interesting. OP says, yes, you read that correctly. I live in a townhouse complex with paper thin walls and a whole bunch of colorful personalities. One of them is my neighbor, a woman in her late 50s who wears tie dye every day, insists she has a telepathic connection with crystals and once told me my aura was too digital.
[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_00] I'm usually sitting out front on my phone with my computer relaxing. I suppose that's why she feels I'm too digital. But her latest stunt truly took the cake. Last week, she knocked on my door holding a small potted plant in one hand and a printout of what looked like a hand-drawn diagram of a Wi-Fi signal in the other. She told me we needed to talk about my router. I was confused. She didn't explain that my Wi-Fi was disrupting the vibrational energy of a succulence.
[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_00] She pointed to the drawing which honestly looked like a sad jellyfish and said that the signal being directly through our shared wall and bombarded our plants non-stop. According to her, the plants were spiritually wilting because they thought the Wi-Fi was sunlight. But it wasn't. The best part? Her plants were in a dark hallway with no natural light. She claimed they had been fine until I got a new modem and then gave me two options. Either turn off my Wi-Fi every night between 10pm and 6am,
[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_00] apparently the plant rest hours, or let her share my Wi-Fi, here we go, and move the router into her unit so she can regulate the signal properly. I laughed because I thought she was joking. She wasn't. She stormed off as I was laughing at her. I'm still currently waiting to see what comes out of this. A commenter replied to this once saying, I lived in an old house that was converted into studios with a shared bathroom and kitchen space. One day I was out on the front porch enjoying some sun and bong rips,
[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_00] when a new tenant started to move in. At first sight I could tell she was pretty crunchy. I introduced myself as did she, at which point I asked, So where are you from? Her answer, unironically, was earth. So we're not going to get along are we? And we didn't. A commenter replied saying, That's a suspicious answer. I don't think she was human. And loads of people just saying, you know, she's just trying to get free Wi-Fi. Other people saying, you know,
[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_00] why would she use that to try and get free Wi-Fi? But anyway, we're going to move on to one more story from again the entitled people. So I read it from bestpirate5073 and it says, Today I had the most entitled client of my career and I still can't process what happened. Earlier today, I had a new client book me for a mobile massage. I've never worked on this woman, possibly in her early 30s before. So because of that, I make sure to go through all expectations well before the massage
[00:27:20] [SPEAKER_00] and ensure that my client gets every bit of what they are paying for. So we did just that. We chatted for about five minutes before we got started and she was really kind. She went into detail about exactly what she wanted and she asked for a one and a half hour massage, told me exactly what areas to focus on. She had zero areas to avoid pain points and had reported no pain. So all was golden as far as I could tell. So we finalize everything and start the massage. As we are going,
[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_00] I make it a point every 15 to 30 minutes to check in and ask questions to ensure everything was exactly what she wanted. Every time I asked, she enthusiastically said it was perfect and that she was super relaxed. So we kept going. Now, once her one and a half hours hit, I decided to take an additional 15 minutes to give her a scalp massage, hot towel and even hot stones. Again, this is after the massage. This is just something I've always added on for my clients as a thank you.
[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_00] And again, I made all of this very clear that this was free and on me. As we're wrapping up, I'm putting up all my stuff and getting ready to have her get up and change. She suddenly says to me, Wait, was that a deep tissue massage? I wanted a relaxing massage. The pressure was too hard for me. I politely replied, Oh no, that's what we agreed upon. I asked you about pressure along the way and you said it was perfect. Did I miss something? She then sits up, looks at me and says, Um, no.
[00:28:43] [SPEAKER_00] So I definitely am not tipping you at all for something I didn't even want. That is not what I asked for. If you were a good massage therapist, you'd give me more time and make sure I'm taken care of. And when I tell you how fast I told her to get her ass off my table, pay me and lose my number. Bloody hell. What an absolute moron. But what I don't get is that she's asking for like additional time, an additional massage or whatever. Would you want a massage from an angry massage? Massage therapist. I'm not saying that OP would do anything,
[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_00] but just having someone absolutely fuming, giving you a massage. That doesn't sound like a relaxing experience to me. I got to tell you, I do enjoy entitled people's stories because it just reminds me they are out there. They're out there somewhere. Probably happening right now. I hadn't had the chance to tell this yet, but probably about a year or so ago, I was out with some friends and afterwards we went to a takeaway shop and whilst we ordered our food and was waiting for it to be cooked, one of the staff members there that my friend who knows quite well
[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_00] had received a call that there was a family emergency and apparently one of the family members had passed away. And they was on the phone in this shop, etc. And this lady who again was a local lady came in and tried calling him over. And he just said, one minute, please. And then I think he might have been on the phone for like three or four minutes. And then she absolutely lost it on him. She was like, this is not how you conduct the business. And the guy turned around to her and said, sorry, we've just lost a family member. And she repeated again.
[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_00] Still, this is not how you conduct the business. And I think just bloody hell, where's the humanity? This guy's going through something absolutely awful and you can't wait two fucking minutes for your kebab. Chill out. To be fair, she did get called out by another customer and there was an argument that was going on between them. And eventually we just sort of left. It was just crazy. But anyway, what do you guys make of today's stories? If you have a moment, please let us know down in the comments below.
[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_00] And if you have an extra moment, click that like because it really does help out the channel and I can't express how much it does make a difference. And if you're feeling extra spicy, share it around as well. Always super helpful. Thank you so, so much once again for being here today. Your love, your support, your time. It always means the absolute world to me. So thank you so, so much for being here. And hopefully I'm going to see you in the next one. Take care and much love.
