In today’s r/AITA story, OP won a prize and decided to spend it on herself. However she's been told by her family that she's selfish doing so.

[00:00:01] [SPEAKER_01] Hey Waffle Gang, I do hope you are well. My name is Mark and today we're checking out some more Reddit Stories. And if you do love a Reddit Story and you're feeling extra cheeky today, don't forget to hit that like, maybe subscribe and get involved in the channel. With that said, let's crack on with it. Much love guys.
[00:00:20] [SPEAKER_01] Now today's first story comes from the Am I The Arsehole subreddit from MostPlenty3578 and it says, Am I The Arsehole for keeping all my prize money even though it would help my dad and stepmom. My phone is on 7%. I'll fix the grammar later.
[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_01] I, 16 female, entered our yearly towns raffle not thinking I'd win. I just bought tickets because I supported the charity. There are always good prizes, the top one being a gift card for a thousand in gift cards. My stepmom won a fancy wine slash food basket which she told us she'd enjoy all to herself. As it was her prize and with the pregnancy slash money troubles, she said she deserves something just for her. About two days later, well, at my mom's I got a text saying, Am I The Arsehole?
[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_01] I won. After collecting my prize, my mom said I should spend it on things I always wanted but we couldn't afford. So I did. I get nice shoes, perfumes, makeup, etc. Here's where I made a mistake. I posted to social media about winning and what I got. Within 30 minutes, dad called me and told me I was selfish and cruel to buy myself unnecessary crap while I knew they were struggling. Stepmom then got on the phone and asked how much I had left.
[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_01] So I said, 280. She then asked, would I return my stuff or at the very least give them the gift card so they could get the stuff for the baby because I knew how bad they were struggling. I said no. Just like her gift basket, it was mine to keep. She started crying and calling me names I couldn't understand and dad took the phone saying he was disappointed in me and I've changed the way he views me.
[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_01] I just hung up afterwards. Dad told my mom that it's best I don't come over for a few weeks till everyone calms down. My stepsister texted me saying, fuck them. They shouldn't be having more kids they can't afford. But my stepmom had been sending me messages begging to help them out. For the innocent baby's sake now. I feel extremely guilty.
[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_01] Absolutely not the asshole in this situation at all. Your mom gave you the right advice. You won that prize. You supported the charity and you got yourself things you wanted and needed. And it's the fact that their attitude, they immediately saw your win as theirs pretty much tells you everything about how they view you and respect you. The comment where he said you've changed how I view you from dad is just manipulation and that's the way it is. And in some ways, I know it probably wouldn't have been helpful.
[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_01] But my first thought is like, I've changed the way that I view you demanding this money like that. And don't get me wrong. I don't think it's wrong to support family in times of need. But I just get this feeling from dad and stepmom that they're entitled about a whole lot of other things at the same time as well. But Onion Kid says, not the asshole. It's your money. But pregnancy troubles? Are they planning on drinking that wine while pregnant? That would make your stepmother a major asshole.
[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_01] Obi says, oh no. She said they were when she has the baby. But I tried to keep the character limit down. I meant since she was pregnant and they were having money troubles due to this pregnancy. And the last two. Sorbet says, if they've recently had two others, they should have all the baby stuff they need anyway. They are clearly selfish people. And as others have said, will spend the money on themselves anyway. Stage Aided says, how many kids do they have?
[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_01] Obi says, my dad has me from his first marriage. Stepmom had two kids. My stepsisters, 17 and 23. They have three girls. Five, three and 18 months together. And I think this baby is a boy. Okay Remote says, not the asshole. Your stepsister is exactly right. Your stepdad and stepmom's decision to have more children is not your responsibility. You're still a child yourself and they're responsible for paying for your and your siblings' care. Not the other way around.
[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_01] It may be a blessing that you get some distance from your dad. If it continues, you could look into making it official that your mom has 100% custody. Which would likely mean your dad would owe your mom child support payments. Obi says, I'd love if mom got 100% custody. But dad would rather spend money in court to fight it than child support. And if I'm being honest, I'd miss my stepsister. We're really close. Carly the Blaze says, not the asshole. Did you decide to have a child? No.
[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_01] It's not your fault that they decided to have another child. And not your responsibility to provide for them. This is doubly true because you, yourself, are still a kid. Don't let them make you feel guilty. And enjoy the heck out of your prize. Obi says, I won't lie. I've enjoyed it. I know this will sound pathetic. But I've never had name brand things that were new. So opening those boxes just can't describe the happiness it gave me. Brave says, that is not pathetic at all.
[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_01] That's something you have every right to be excited about. Obi added their update and says, My mom was at work when everything really happened. And we never got a chance at a proper conversation till she woke up a while ago. She asked to see the messages I was sent and got extremely angry. So she called my father and asked to be put on speaker. Then ripped them both a new one. She told my dad she'd be going back to court for full custody. And the backdated child support he owed. Which was news to me. Not gonna lie.
[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_01] He told us she can't do that. And she said with the text and voicemail they sent us, She very much could. I started getting calls, but I just blocked them. Stepsister told me they're losing their shit thinking of ways to fix it. And it's best if I blocked her number slash Instagram. And we just speak via TikTok till she's 18 in 5 months. And can legally live with her older sister. Don't know what dad and stepmom will do after all their babysitters leave the house. But I hope they'll stop having kids they can't afford.
[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_01] I know it's super early to say this because it's been a day. But the things dad said to me, I honestly think our relationship will never be okay. But maybe in a few months I might forgive him. Thank you for your support. The commenter said to OP after this, I love that relationship you have with her. It's awesome when steps get along really well. Not necessary, but a delight when it occurs. Screw your dad and stepmom. It's on them to take care of you. Not you, them, and their baby.
[00:06:39] [SPEAKER_01] She could have possibly traded someone that basket for money. Or, you know, not spent any money on raffle tickets she couldn't afford to spend on in the first place. OP says, yeah. They're not the smartest with money. When she was pregnant with my third half sister, they went on a baby moon and she demanded a push present even though my uncle had to pay for their electric and water to be turned on. Can't help but feel for the kids in that situation. New kids coming into that lifestyle at the same time as well.
[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_01] It sounds like they push much more than just the money issues onto their children, etc. I know there was babysitting mentioned, which, and stepsister already thinking about moving out as soon as she turns 18. It kind of really says it all in the end, doesn't it? But what do you guys make of this situation? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below. And let's move on to another story. Now, our next story comes from Zebra Zucchini from the marriage subreddit and says,
[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_01] my husband has never gotten me a Christmas present. I got one for our female friend. And there is a trigger warning on this one of teenage pregnancy on it. So if you do want to skip it, please feel free to do so. Timestamp's always down in the description and along the timeline below. Thank you. And it starts. I just feel so numb. It's not like he doesn't do anything for me. I got pregnant in high school and our daughter and I got kicked out basically the day I turned 18. I've been living with him ever since.
[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_01] I'm 21 now and our daughter is in kindergarten. And I know he loves us. He's paying for me to get my bachelor's and takes care of all the bills. I work, kind of odd jobs, but I do have some money of my own. I usually always spend it on my daughter. I always try to make Christmas magical for her. Even when we were broke, I scrimped and saved and even put a name in for a charity tree this year because my car broke down so money hasn't just been tight. It's non-existent.
[00:08:34] [SPEAKER_01] And I always get him something. Maybe it's small, but he always had something. I don't know the last time I got a Christmas present. His brother got me something last year, but we had to cut him out of our lives. Sorry, I'm rambling. But last night I mentioned he had a package and he got excited. He said he saw something online and had to get it for one of our friends.
[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_01] She likes that old show, Frasier. My parents haven't spoken to me, even when I call them begging and crying just to talk in years. Sometimes my mum will call me on my birthday or Christmas, but she didn't this year, so I doubt she will next week. He's not abusive and he's not cruel. He's just not thoughtful. I guess doesn't care about me enough to get me anything. I think he knew I was hurt because he started talking about taking our daughter to this Christmas thing in our city that he knows I want to go to. I feel so selfish.
[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_01] I know I should be more grateful, but even just a little candle or a picture frame would mean the world to me. I know I won't get it, but she'll get a cookbook. The commoner says you're right to feel hurt. That's messed up of him. Could you directly ask him why he's bought her a present when he hasn't bought you one ever? I don't know the friendship dynamic with this woman, but if I were a friend to a couple and just the male bought me a gift, I'd feel a little awkward. Unless it was framed as a gift from you both, I guess.
[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_01] My life experiences would also make me a little suspicious if this man typically doesn't give gifts, but he just happened to find the perfect gift for a friend. Opie says, I did ask him why he got her one. He never gets me any because we should be saving money or spending it on our daughter. But even if it was small, it would mean everything to me. She's just a mutual friend. I'm not worried about her or anything. It's just hurtful. It would hurt if he got one for one of his buddies too. Someone says,
[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_01] Why did you marry him? I hope he says I was 18 and had no insurance. It was a courthouse thing, but we do take it seriously. The commoner says, Hey, first, it's amazing that you're raising a kindergartner. While going to college and without any help from your parents. I got married later in life than you did. And something my spouse and I both benefited from was making mistakes and learning from experience in prior relationships. Me, I got a girlfriend a CD for Christmas.
[00:11:20] [SPEAKER_01] We'd only been dating for a month or two, but it was serious and not the ideal tone of gift. That came out as something that felt bad for her when our relationship was disintegrating a couple of years later. Whoops. But one fewer mistake for me to make from then on. It sucks that your husband apparently needs to be told, Hey, you need to get your wife a present, dummy. Ideally, he'd have a friend say that to him. But if no one else will, it might be better for your relationship overall if you say it.
[00:11:48] [SPEAKER_01] Personally, I'm conflict avoidant. So I'd probably say something like, Hey, do you want to exchange gifts on Christmas Eve by ourselves or on Christmas morning with our kiddo? Opie replies saying thank you. In his defense, he does pay any school fees slash tuition that my scholarship doesn't cover. As well as all of our bills, etc. I know I should just be grateful and it's not like he spends money on himself. It just hurt that he saw that and was like, Oh, I have to get it for her. She'll love it. But I would love literally anything from him.
[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_01] Commodore says, Sweetheart, it's not too much to ask for a gift. If I were you, I would approach it gently and have nothing to do with the gift he got for the other person. Just say something like, Sweetheart, I would love to receive a gift for Christmas from you. It doesn't have to be lavish. Just something from your heart. Opie says, I've tried that. I've mentioned little plants or stuff. That's less than $10. I've been like, Oh, I love that, but I would never buy it for myself. He gets me flowers and stuff on Mother's Day every year,
[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_01] but it's like I'm more than just a mum. I'm his wife. In his defense, it's not like he spends money on himself other than necessities. Commodore says, First off, stop getting him stuff. Give him the same energy he gives you. And you should ask, not necessarily for gifts, but help as far as finding jobs, schooling, therapy, financial help, housing, etc. Opie says, I'm in school and have a full-time job offer when I graduate, but that's in the spring. I was in therapy on school,
[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_01] but they started charging and I can't find anything affordable. It makes enough that I don't qualify for any kind of public assistance because we're married. Someone says, How old is your husband? Never heard of anyone in their early 20s that can afford to put someone else through school in 2025. Are you from a culture where you're expected to marry the person that got you pregnant no matter of the situation? Getting several red flags from this story. Opie says he's 24. He has a good union job.
[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_01] We got married after I got kicked out because I had no insurance. Someone says, Is Opie's husband gifted her anything on any other special days? Opie says, He's gotten me Mother's Day gifts. It's not like he's never given me anything. He's just not a gift person normally. His family isn't big on them either. And I feel bad saying I want one. He does other romantic things for me. I feel like I should let this go. And then people were asking Opie about her family's background and why she isn't in contact with her family. And says,
[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_01] Ugh, I'm sorry. I used to be 50-50 with my dad until he married my stepmom. She was so nice while they were dating. But the second they got married, he was telling me and my mom that she's child free and uncomfortable with me around. But she also got mad about child support. So even though it was still officially 50-50, I stayed at my dad's mom's during his time. And he'd come and see me. Then when I got pregnant, she used that to completely cut me off. He's never even held his only grandchild. And hasn't answered my calls in years.
[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_01] Feels bad. So, it was nearly a month after this that Opie came in with an update. And says, I forgot about this, but someone asked for an update. And I have a happy one. I didn't want to bring anything up to my husband and ruin Christmas. Christmas morning, we obviously got up with our daughter and she loved everything she got. So, that was nice. And then my husband handed her a box and I was confused since she had already opened all of her gifts. He had her bring it over to me and I couldn't stop crying. Okay,
[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_01] I know a lot of people dislike her, but Ariana Grande is my favorite artist. Her last album is so good and I wanted to see her so bad. But the tour is so limited and expensive and basically, no tickets were available in our city. Anyway, our friend's mom has connections and when my husband got a holiday bonus, he asked her if she'd be able to help. She got us amazing tickets and is going to watch our daughter that night. I couldn't stop crying. I never thought in a million years,
[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_01] I'd be able to go see her and he set up everything. I felt bad because all I'd gotten him was a new water bottle and jeans, but he said he didn't want anything other than his girls to be happy. And when he thought of my gift, he kind of got into the gift giving spirit and wanted to get our friends something too. I'm so happy. So, there was a commenter that was a bit worried afterwards. The commenter was downvoted, but it says, I'm still suspicious. If it were I, I would wonder why he wants me out of the house the night of the concert.
[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_01] Opie replied saying, he'll be at the concert with me. Commenter says, I didn't catch your original post, but this is an excellent update to read first thing in the morning. Have so much fun. Opie laughs and says, it was mostly people telling me he was cheating on me with her. Commenter says, the friend he bought the book is the same friend that helped him with your gift. That's really nice. It's more of a thank you gift then. Opie says, yeah, her mom's company has some sort of relationship with the arena. And she was able to get us tickets when they were like over a grand last I checked.
[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_01] I'm so, so, so happy. Commenter says, that's a sweet update. I'm glad I saw the update before the original because it was really depressing. I'm sorry about your parents and the way they've been treating you. I wish you the best for you and your family. Opie says, thank you. I'm pathetic when it comes to my parents. I get that they didn't like me, but I wish they'd at least ask about my daughter. Like, I know some people cut off their parents, but it hurts more when your parents cut you off. So much.
[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_01] If they asked me tomorrow to see us, or even just my daughter, I know it's pathetic, but I'm sure I'd roll out the red carpet. I'm sure I'd get over it one day, but it hurts. And a lot of people on the back of this story, just saying, it turned into a wholesome ending in the end. But what do you guys make of this situation? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below, and let's move on to another story. Now,
[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_01] our next story comes from bestpirate5073 from the entitled people subreddit, and says, today I had the most entitled client of my career, and I still can't process what happened. Earlier today, I had a new client book me for a mobile massage. I've never worked on this woman. Possibly in her early 30s. Before, so because of that, I made sure to go through all expectations well before the massage, and ensure that my clients get every bit
[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_01] of what they are paying for. So we did just that. We chatted for about five minutes before we got started, and she was really kind. She went into detail about what exactly she wanted, and she asked for a one and a half hour massage. Told me exactly what areas to focus on. She had zero areas to avoid, pain points, and had reported no pain, so all was golden as far as I could tell. So we finalize everything and start the massage. As we're going,
[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_01] I make it a point every 15 to 30 minutes to check in and ask questions to ensure everything was exactly what she wanted. Every time I asked, she enthusiastically said it was perfect, and that she was super relaxed. So we kept going. Now, once a one and a half hours hit, I decided to take an additional 15 minutes to give her a scalp massage, hot towel, and even hot stones. Again, this is after the massage. This is just something I've always added on
[00:19:05] [SPEAKER_01] for my clients as a thank you. And again, I made all this very clear that this was free and on me. As we're wrapping up, I'm putting up all my stuff and getting ready to have her get up and change. She suddenly says to me, wait, was that a deep tissue massage? I wanted a relaxing massage. The pressure was too hard for me. I politely replied, I don't know. That's what we agreed upon. And I asked you about pressure along the way and you said it was perfect. Did I miss something?
[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_01] She then sits up, looks at me and says, um, no. So I'm definitely not tipping you at all for something I didn't even want. That is not what I asked for. If you were a good massage therapist, you'd give me more time and make sure I'm taken care of. And when I tell you how fast I told her to get her ass off my table, pay me and lose my number. Ugh, what an annoying person. And I'm super glad you told her where to go. It felt like this classic, like scam like behavior where, you know,
[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_01] after you've done the, whatever it is, they demand more or they demand their money back. I was wondering if that, that's where it was going to go in the end. But Jim says, unreal. She's nuts. And Opie says, I couldn't agree more. Slow Challenge says, this is like when someone finishes the meal they ordered and then tells the server they didn't like it. So sorry this happened to you. Tech Fiend says, yep, first thing that came to mind is, this is a scam tactic. Wanted a reduced price to not have to pay tip
[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_01] or was hoping it would be free. Adventurous Son says, but it is such a short-sighted thing to do. Finding a good massage therapist isn't easy. Hero With A Monkey says, I'll cut my arm off for a damn massage and then just getting a scalp massage too? Opie says, yes, I did the whole thing. Useless says, did you at least get paid? And Opie said, I did. But it was three days later that Opie came back in and said, hey everyone,
[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_01] thanks again for all the support on my original post from a few days ago. You'll have me cracking up with your stories and advice. I tried to reply to as many as I could, so sorry if I didn't get back to you. Honestly thought that was the end of it after I booted her entitled ass out, but oh boy, was I wrong. Buckle up because this update is straight out of a bad reality TV episode. So after she grudgingly and mumbling about how she'd never recommend me and that I was unprofessional, fine,
[00:21:31] [SPEAKER_01] whatever, I've got a solid client list and glowing reviews. But then yesterday I get a notification regarding a one star review from her, claiming I assaulted her with aggressive pressure, ignored her requests and even tried to extort her for a tip. She straight up lied, saying the extra 15 minutes was forced on her and that I demanded more money for it. The audacity. P.S. I saw some comments predict this would happen, but was shook when it actually did.
[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_01] I was fuming, but I kept my cool and responded professionally in the app, explaining our pre-massage chat, the check-ins and where she said everything was perfect and that the extras were free. I even attached screenshots of our initial text confirming deep tissue. Turns out the app Malta reviewed it and removed her B.S. review within a day, citing it as defamatory. So that's a win for me. And the cherry on top, one of my regular clients who I vented to anonymously,
[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_01] recognized the description of the woman and messaged me after her session. It turns out this woman is notorious in my other client's local Facebook mum groups for pulling similar stunts with hairdressers, nail techs and even a dog groomer. She's been blacklisted by half the service pros in town. Karma's working overtime. Moral of the story. Always document everything, folks. And to any other massage therapist out there, trust your gut on those kind at first clients.
[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_01] They got layers like an onion. And sometimes they stink. Thanks for reading. Now back to my non-drama clients. A commenter says to a B. I'm so glad you got that closure in knowing it's not just you she's done that to. Things like this make my head spin. And I would have been replaying it all in my head over and over. Good for you. People like that destroy people's confidence and even end careers. Opie says,
[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_01] Interesting wing says, So glad to hear how this turned out. I'm not surprised that she pulled this crap at other places. She's eventually going to run other places to go and will have to start going out of town. Opie says, I mean, Let's hope so at this point. I never understand the mindset of people like that. You know, She's clearly already got a name for herself amongst the local community. And it's only going to get worse if she continues that kind of behavior. I mean, You're just going to get blacklisted everywhere, right?
[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_01] But what do you guys make of this situation? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments below. And let's have another story. Now our next story with updates also comes from the entitled people subreddit from Metamorphosis who says, My friend is mad because a random guy didn't serve her. Few days ago, I went to a dinner party with my friend. It's a Chinese restaurant with big round tables. We sat around a table with about 10 people.
[00:24:27] [SPEAKER_01] She found one guy there attractive. It's a friend's friend, so they didn't know each other. She wanted his attention. The guy was chatting with his friend. My friend waved and stopped their conversation, asked him to get some extra tableware for her. The guy called a waitress, said, Please get some tableware for that lady. Then he told my friend, I ordered the waitress to bring it for you. After that, he continued chatting with his friend. Then my friend started her endless complaint. He said the guy was ridiculously impolite.
[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_01] I asked her why. She said the guy was too rude to not be serving her. He did not go to get the tableware for her, but only sitting there and ordered the waitress. She is also angry that the guy kept chatting to his friend, as if she's not important. My friend always thinks she's very beautiful, but clearly not every man found her attractive. What the hell? Interesting says, Did this guy even work there? Hopi says, No.
[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_01] The guy was also attending this party with his friend. Hopi then added another post around three days later that was titled, I'm single and it's your fault. And then says, A few days ago, I went to a dinner party with my friend and she was angry because a guest did not serve her and shared the link. Here's a little update. After the party, she wasn't just complaining about the guy, but she's not happy that no one asked her out. No one asked for a number and basically no guy approached her after the party. This morning, she messaged me some details of a dating event
[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_01] and requested that I join with her next week. I refuse because I'm not interested in a dating event and I already have plans with my boyfriend that day. She was angry. She blamed me for being so selfish and only enjoying time with my boyfriend and letting her stay single. I was too shocked to hear. Does she think she's entitled to my time and weekends? I told her I'm not joining the event. I told her that if she really wanted a guy, she should just use the dating apps or join the events alone instead of bothering me. Then she said,
[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_01] I want a guy, but I don't want to go to the event alone. As if I'm the only single woman. You have to join me. Help me get a boyfriend. Otherwise, I'm not going and it'll be your fault for letting me stay single. I didn't reply. I knew her for two to three years, but I think the longer she's single, the more entitled she acts and I suspect I will no longer want to be a friend if she continues this way. You suspect? Holy moly. Okay, Young says, there's no wonder no guy wants her. She reeks of desperation and craziness.
[00:26:54] [SPEAKER_01] How is she going to be the only single woman at a dating event? It's not exactly somewhere women with partners frequently go. She needs to start liking herself and being comfortable with her own company. While the only men she will get are arseholes. Another commenter says, I think she means the only single woman in her friend group, not the only single woman at the dating event. Okay, Young replies saying, I don't know. Because she said she doesn't want to go to the event as if she's the only single woman and says OP has to help her find a boyfriend there.
[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_01] OP says, Okay, Young then replies to that saying, but she is single. As I said, most people who have partners don't attend dating events. Her logic is stupid because, as I say, she is desperate and is acting crazy. She should use an app instead of an event if it's too much for her. But realistically,
[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_01] she's already telling normal guys to go nowhere near her because she's nuts. She needs to calm down and learn to be happy on her own. She isn't. OP comes in three days again with a new post saying, which was titled, I'm single, so it's your duty to take care of me. Bloody hell. This is an update about my friend again. Last time she forced me to join a dating event with her and I rejected it. She blamed me for hurting her feelings. The next two days,
[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_01] she kept sending me crying slash angry emojis. I didn't feel good about she tried to force me to a dating event, so I ignored her. Today, she finally switched the topic, said she was lonely and she hoped my boyfriend and I could go to a barbecue with her. I thought maybe she learned a lesson that she shouldn't force me and she sounded vulnerable this time. So I asked my boyfriend's opinion. My boyfriend agrees to go together, though he does not like her much. So I told my friend to plan the details. Later,
[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_01] she told me her plan. There is a huge to buy list. She requires my boyfriend and me to buy everything and the list contains very specific food items such as seafood slash guts that can't be easily bought in supermarkets. I told her the arrangement was very inconvenient to us and we don't need the food she listed. She argued that you two have a whole morning to prepare the food. You know I wake up late. Just get everything and come to my door at 2 p.m. to pick me up. My boyfriend refused to pick her up
[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_01] and suggested she buy her own food. She was angry and said we're not caring for her. My boyfriend argued it's not our responsibility. She said I'm single so of course it's your two's duty to take care of me. I told her we're not going to the barbecue. Please enjoy your time and ended the conversation. I don't think she is a friend anymore. Bloody hell. Pear Glum says to this with all your updates I'm surprised it took you this long. Opie says yeah I tried to distance myself from her
[00:29:50] [SPEAKER_01] but when she sounds fragile such as saying I'm lonely or you're my only friend I feel guilty about leaving her alone but now I see why other friends left her. Laura says why are you talking to this person and how old is she? Feels like she's a teenager. Opie says no she's almost 40. Commander says are you guys Chinese? From some of the details it sounds like it. And Opie says yes. Opie has one more post slash update. The post was titled
[00:30:19] [SPEAKER_01] I made some dumplings for you now you owe me this and that. Opie says again this is the same girl I've written about in my previous posts. This is probably the last update about her as I finally blocked her on everything. So after I rejected her barbecue offer I've been super cold to her. Just saying I'm busy at work and not able to talk. I didn't block her at first because we have a common friend group. Every time we have a conflict she tells other friends she was hurt and mistreated. Then people will come to me
[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_01] asking what happened. I'm tired of drama so I didn't want to irritate her. Last night she sent me some pictures of homemade dumplings and told me I spent four hours making these dumplings for you. Can you come pick them up this Saturday? I did not reply. Half an hour later she sent another picture of her eating dumplings and said you're such a bad friend. You ignored me and I'm deducting your dumplings. Her entitlement somehow triggered me and I told her whatever I do not want them
[00:31:19] [SPEAKER_01] and left her unread. This morning I saw she had sent me paragraphs saying I've made these dumplings just for you. Whether you eat them or not you are now owing me things. And she listed a lot of stuff including various foods snacks snacks and some kitchenware. She required me to bring these items to me when you come to pick up the remaining dumplings. There is not much left though because you treated me so badly. I said nothing and blocked her and deleted her Facebook. I don't care what she would tell other friends anymore.
[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_01] Bloody hell I hope you put up with that a lot longer than I would have but that is mad isn't it? The level of entitlement in the very first post of all this was just like what? That's madness but it just got worse and worse and you just think how does someone get on in life with that kind of attitude? What's their day to day life like? It just sounds like it's bloody chaos but what do you guys make of this situation? Have you ever met
[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_01] someone as entitled as that? I mean that'd be crazy if you have but let us know your thoughts down in the comments below. Now just a huge thank you for being here today getting involved in the stories your love your support your time it always means the absolute world to me so thank you so so much and hopefully I'll see you in the next one. Take care and much love.
